April 2011 on Captiva Island, Florida
North U and Steve & Doris Colgate's Offshore Sailing School are once again joining forces for our 11th Performance Race Week. The 2011 program will be held at South Seas Island Resort on Captiva Island, Florida from April 3 to April 10, 2011.
Race week starts with a welcome party on Sunday evening, April 3. You’ll spend the next five days developing and honing your racing skills with a combination of onboard coaching, classroom sessions and video review. Saturday, April 9 is devoted to a championship regatta and awards banquet. (Plan your departure travel for Sunday, April 10.)
Race Week includes 36 hours of sailing, and upwards of 60 starts. You'll have a coach on board, and you'll be sailing a Colgate 26 - a modern, lively, responsive boat that's truly a pleasure to sail.

A Note from North U Director Bill Gladstone:
You're invited.

Come sail with us at the NorthU/Offshore Performance Race Week.
For our eleventh season of Race Week we’ve refined the format to provide more sailing, more coaching, and more racing. I should tell you to come to improve your tactics, strategy, sail trim, spinnaker handling, and helming. I could draw you in by detailing how much you'll learn from our team of expert instructors. I might entice you with the combination of onboard coaching, on-the-water clinics, shore side seminars, and video review.
But the best reason I can offer - the closer - is the fun.
Come to Florida, and enjoy an incredible week of sailing and racing. Have a great vacation, and as a bonus, go home a winning racer!
Call Offshore now at 800-221-4326 for registration and more details. Or visit the
Race Week Info Page for full information.
I’ll be there. How about you?
